The Word is also what Christ is talking today. You can’t tell living Christ to keep mum. It determines life and death to us. But the orthodox Christians say “you shouldn’t even shake hands with preachers of those false gospels which don’t literally conform to the ancient gospels in the bible. Then one should not shake hands with St. Peter and St. Thomas also. Their gospel was rejected by the Catholic Church bible compilers as false gospels. Even what you think as correct gospel, was edited and added to that collection called bible in the obscure past. Still these have discrepancies. Though these guide us to Christ, these can’t be equated with living Christ by calling these infallible. These can’t save. Only living Christ saves. All the humanity, Christian and nonChristian are benefited in short term by science and technology generated solely by Christ’s sharing principles. But those who cling to him securely are benefited eternally. But Christ saves also those who don’t believe in him. Read this testimony.
Recent rescue of Muslim Ayesha Bibi.
She lived in a remote village near the great Ganges River separating India and Bangladesh. Her mason husband worked in far Calcutta metropolis. Recently married, she lived with her in-laws. Her irresponsible good for nothing brother lived near. His hungry children often came to her house for food. She couldn’t deny them. So her mother in law abused her often.
She broke down and resolved suicide. One dark night she took a rope to hang herself and entered a wooded place. Then she was surprised to see a luminous figure addressing her. She was beyond fright now. So she listened. He told her that suicide is a grievous sin and to go to Moyna Mondal of Jiaganj London Mission, with her brother and husband. Then her problems will be resolved.
Illiterate Ayesha never heard of Christ. She thought that figure must be an angel of Allah. Hopefully she returned home and phoned her husband. He said incredulously that he can’t come now as he has important work. But he shall try later. When he came he took Ayesha and her brother to Jiagang 50 miles away. When Moyna heard her story she said that, it was Christ and told them about him briefly. When she interceded for them Christ assured that Ayesha’s brother will become good and both families will be better. So they left.
A fortnight later, they returned to give thanks as every thing has improved as Christ has promised. Anyone can verify the incident by phone.
So Christ is talking and talking to save people and it does not literally conform to the ancient gospels of very different circumstances and cultures. But the essence is there for understanding people to see.
